How to choose the RIGHT TYPE OF STORAGE SPACE?
How to choose the RIGHT TYPE OF STORAGE SPACE?
If you rent a self-storage for the first time and you have no idea how spacious your room should be, here are some easy steps to help you make the optimal choice:
1. TAKE MEASURES IN ADVANCE
Take measures of the larger items first - they will be your basic reference - and consider the minimum space they can fit in. It is important to be aware of how many and what are all the things you want to store. Remember that you need to consider the three dimensions: height, width and depth.
2. PILE UP
If possible, gather together the main items and measure the sides (on the floor) of the square/rectangle that has been formed. For that purpose you can also use the floor of the vehicle that you're going to move them with.
3. OPTIMIZE
Keep in mind that some furniture and items can be turned or stand in an optimal way to take up as little space as possible. Use the space also vertically, not just in width. Shelves are a good idea for utilizing the heights and under ceiling spaces.
4. LEAVE SPACE FOR PATHWALKS
It's a good idea to provide enough space for a path to move around in your closet and have easy access to different items.
5. GET CONSULTED
We are always available for consultation about the sizes of your storage space - do not hesitate to write or call us, or directly ask the front desk officer.
